We are looking for a Merchandising manager role Tokyo-base to coordinate with Japan partners and grow the market business.
Location: Tokyo, Japan
Reports to: VP, Japan
Cover location area: Japan
Main Purpose: Lead overall merchandising capability with the best understanding of local market
How you will contribute
Responsibilities:
• This role leverages merchandising planning and analysis expertise to maximize sales(invoicing), inventory turn, and profitability.
• Provide analytical support to the Global team to ensure a balanced assortment that is consistent with overall business strategy.
• Control and manage merchandising sales planning, OTB and forecast business needs in alignment with Global / Partners sales target. Ensure the same product focus as Global. • Coordinate forecasts for all demand for assigned collection and product.
• Collaboration with key business partners to manage OTB according to buying strategy, financial target, and historical analysis, liaise with all other teams to ensure to lead the process and procedures against the plan.
• Responsible for pre-order volume estimates, seasonal buys, creating block volume estimates, in-season replenishment, continue volume estimations
• Consolidate business needs and market analysis to provide to Design and Merchandising teams and Sourcing teams.
• Monitor partner’s performance and invoicing during season to flag reallocation needs. • Work closely with the logistics coordinator to find opportunities to push early deliveries and find delivery delay risks. Suggest to VP, Japan to further plan possible mitigation actions. • Create and manage various weekly/monthly reports to be utilized for merchandise data analysis in an accurate and timely manner.
• Review weekly/monthly business to identify risks and opportunities in business and take actions timely, provide essential analysis in order to identify and maximize sales (invoicing) and profit opportunities.
• Create and monitor partner’s inventory (based on the sales forecasts and invoicing level), sales forecast, sales performance and delivery to control invoicing to reach Bud.
• Be able to interpret trends appropriately to acquire more new consumers for Japan market. • Administration related job and other jobs for necessary.

• Excellent fashion sense and understanding the local and international market trends.
• Strong analytical and forecasting skills, high accuracy, good numeric sense and able to multitask.
• Strong problem-solving and meticulous, able to work under pressure individually, highly self motivated.
• With entrepreneurial spirit and willing to work in a flexible environment.
• Great communication skills and strong ability to work in a multicultural environment. E.g., Global, partner etc.

• 8+ years of work experience in the fashion/luxury industry with experience merchandising planning analysis roles.
• Bachelor’s degree
• Excellent in Excel & PPT.
• Excellent in English.
